want to share my experience how Baba has helped me in my career.

I started my job in Aug 2000 with just 3000 Rs. I struggled for almost 5 years. In the meantime I was trying for good job. I appeared in many exams for job, many interviews I have faced but no positive reply. All my relatives and friends used to make fun of me that I am just earning 3000 Rs per month after doing B.Com from delhi university and 2 years higher diploma in Software Engg. I was also very much frustrated with failure in my career. I am a devotee of Sai Baba. I used to cry in front of Baba that why he is taking my pariksha like this. I go to Shirdi atleast once in every year. My parents also tried hard for good job for me. I used to apply for job frequently but keeping in mind that I will not get that job because I was loosing all hopes. I worship daily Sai Baba and I have a habit even i don’t remember since when , of reading Sai Satcharita daily.

In Sai Satcharita in Chapter no 15 there is a story of one Mr. Cholkar‘s Sugarless tea wherein he was a true devotee of Baba and was struggling hard in life. Once he applied for a permanent job in Govt Dept and promised to Baba that if he got the job then he will come to shirdi and offer sugar candy to Baba and distribute it. With the grace of Sai he got the job, and now he wanted to fulfil what he had committed with Baba but he was poor man and unable to fulfil the needs of his family and even did not have that much money to go to shirdi. Then he started to cut down his expenses, he used to save the money and used to have tea without sugar. After saving some money he visited Shirdi and offered sugarcandy to Baba and distribute. At the time when he was about to leave from Dwarkamai, Shirdi , Baba said that ‘“Give my guest cup of tea fully saturated with sugar”” Saying this Baba meant that he knew the devotion of Mr. Cholkar that for coming to Shirdi he used to take tea without sugar.

I liked this chapter very much when ever I feel sad or frustrate I read this chapter. I had a feeling that one day Baba will accept my prayer also as he did in case of Mr. Cholker.
In 2006 I went to Shirdi with my family and with my two uncles. On one evening my dad called up at delhi to our neighbors just to know their well being. Then they said that one call letter for written test has come for me and the test was on the same day when I was supposed to reach delhi from shirdi. Then my father asked me about that. I remember that I had applied for that job around 2-3 months back and even I had forgotten about that cauz its being 2-3 months back I had applied. We had our return ticket for Goa Express from Manmaad to New Delhi and the train was supposed to reach at New Delhi at 6.00 AM morning, Sunday and my written test for that job was on the same day at 10.00 AM and reporting time was 9.00 AM. In shirdi in front of Baba in Samadhi Mandir I said to Sai that if I got this job then I will come to shirdi again with my family and my two uncles and bear all the expenses during that visit.. With the grace of Sai I reached New Delhi at 5.50 AM on Sunday. Normally Indian rails mostly run late but this time Goa Express was before time. We reached home and everybody was tired. I was not interested in appearing for written test because I was tired of facing interviews without any positive result. But my dad compelled me to attend and he dropped me at the place where written test to be held. With the grace of Sai Baba I cleared that test and then I was called for interview. In the meantime I applied for one more post which was for higher pay scale and in same office. I cleared my written test for that also and then I went for interview. In 15-20 days I was informed that I have got the job for the post with higher pay scale. I was so happy when I heard about this. It’s like a miracle for me.

When I link all these things it makes me feel that Sai wanted me to get this job because when my neighbors received my call letter for the this job when we were in Shirdi and day was Thursday. Then when I got the appointment letter for the post with higher salary that day was also Thursday. When I joined this job that day was also Thursday. One great thing when I went to the concerned person to whom i was supposed to report, the first thing I saw there was Sai’s photo in that cabin. It was like Baba himself has welcomed me to the new job. Next day I was supposed to join into some department, where I was posted. That person was really very strict and everybody used to scare for working with him. Even I was also feeling very uncomfortable while working with him. Even the situation was like I decided to give my resignation. One day I don’t know from where I got in my mind that let me keep one photo of Sai in his room. I brought one very small size calendar of Sai Baba and kept that in his room without showing to anybody. I was very tensed while working with him even I used to scare while entering his room and I thought now Sai will help me to face this situation. Once again Sai helped me and solve my problem. In few days I was transferred to some other department and now I am very happy with my boss and he is also satisfied with my work. I went to shirdi with my parents and my two uncles and I paid for all the expenses during this visit as I had promised to Sai that I will come to shirdi with all on my expenses from my salary.

I struggled for 5 years with 3000 Rs P.M. I was expecting that if I get a new job then I will get a salary not more then 7 to 8000 pm. But with blessings of Sai Baba I got this job with a salary of 15000/- PM. People may feel that I am so happy for just 15000 Rs because these days people are getting salary package of Rs 7-8-10 lakhs even more then this. But I feel that this 15000/- is even too much for me cauz what I a getting today is all with the grace of Sai and I m completely satisfied with this. I thanks to Sai everyday that he himself has come to offer me this job when my all hopes were finished.

The story of Mr. Cholker’s sugarless tea mentioned in Sai Satcharita is my favorite story and Sai has blessed me also like in case of Mr. Cholker.
